Who was better? They were both great fighters that seemed to fall in the gap between being great fighters and being true greats. They both beat many good fighters but fell short against the true top level opponents, many similarities in their careers.

Yeah same, finding it difficult to decide. Would like to say Hatton, think he made more of what he had than Naz and the Ingle situation really put me off him

Natural Talent against determination and pure strength of will.

On Professional attitude it's Ricky on what should have been its Naz.

    Prince Naseem Hamed...

Great Actors have it, Great Leaders have it, Great Music Artist have it, whatever it is they have? Prince Naseem Had it.

    Genius.......a Genius.

But I also think Ricky Hatton was a genius and had that star quality! There aare allot of good fighters today in boxing, butbnotbmany fighters with that star quality.....that Wow factor.

Ricky Hatton and Prince Naseem Hamed both where superstars larger than life, and there fights brought that WOW factor.

I never got the Naseem being a 'underachiever' train of thought. He did all he could for what he had, imo and got out at the right time.

I disagree. I don't think Hamed lacked determination, focus or will. If anything it's Hatton who shortened his career and didn't get the best out of himself with lack of dedication and professionalism, with all the guinness carousing and whatnot. Talent can only take you so far when you have such glaring technical flaws and the Prince got pretty far with it. Hamed just reached a plateau and was always likely to be outboxed by any one of Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Mayweather etc.

It's a known fact that he didn't enjoy training. Barrera has been owned, Marquez, and Morales.

A big deal is made out of the Barrea fight, it was hardly a one sided beat down. And Hamed didn't even take Barrera seriously....

    All geniuses have flaws!

Prince Naseem Hamed was a genius, Barrera was just a good fighter.
