    Impressive!!!!

    An easier one:

James J Corbett could beat Lennox Lewis because?

(I had to use 17 other names to get there)

At work sometimes when I am bored Igo on Boxrec and try to make links in the shortest chain e.g Pick a Klitschko and see how low you can get in a chain on the basis the lighter guy must beat the bigger guy

That is IMO the wrong way to do it; my list went:

    Corbett beat Kid McCoy

    who beat Joe Choynski

    who beat Jack Johnson

    who beat Jim Flynn

    who beat Jack Dempsey

    who beat Jack Sharkey

    who beat Max Schmeling

    who beat Joe Louis

    who beat Jersey Joe

    who beat Ezzard Charles

    who beat Joey Maxim

    who beat Floyd Patterson

    who beat Henry Cooper

    who beat Jack Bodell

    who beat Joe Bugner

    who beat Bonecrusher

    who beat Bruno

    who beat McCall

    who beat Lennox

I always find it easier to start in the past, as sooner or later you tend to bump into a name, you can get a pattern off of.

    :good Good work.

I tried doing it from Corbett first but got stuck so decided to work backwards. Got into an even bigger muddle.
