Tell me about it.. I like what Roach has done with Pac, but outside of that I think he's pretty overrated

I say that in-between rounds, they should always go to the corner Naz is in.

"Knock the grease off this dude."

    "Swim without getting wet."

"They made a monster out of this joker and he never even faced anyone with a jab before." [Paraphrased. don't remember exact wording without going back and watching the fight (Pavlik/Hopkins)]

Guess he did an Adamek vs Dawson at the Olympics. Went pro, got to his normal weight, I guess.

Pac did fight once at 116 in 1998. But he also fought at 112 in the same year, so I just took the 114 he fought at twice in 1998 to split the difference.

In 1993 when he was 16 Floyd fought at 106 pounds as an amateur.

In 1995 when he was 16 Pac had his first professional fight at 106 pounds.

Why did Floyd go up in weight more quickly? Probably because he wasn't an impoverished, near starved kid, and because he had the talent, coaching and amateur background to fight at higher weightclasses, while Pac was just some kid off the street who didn't have the coaching and amateur background to move up like that. He needed the physical advantage of being as big as possible against the guys he was fighting early in his career, when he was less complete.

Floyd has rarely cut significantly to make weight and has generally fought right near his walking around weight, while Pac had to cut significant amounts near the end of his stays in each weight division. Pac is bigger than his fight weights let on, and Mayweather, until the past two years or so, has been smaller than his let on.

Regarding height and reach, they aren't really a measure of who is bigger, which is Nazims point. Paul Williams is bigger than many cruiserweights if thsoe are the criteria you use. Endo or mesomorphic body type, muscular composition, even dermal thickness...there are a lot of things that matter when you're talking about size and natural weight.

To put it in perspective, if you look at their measurements Cotto and Pacquiao are almost exactly the same size. Same reach, Cotto is a half inch taller, Pac has larger biceps and wrists, Cotto larger thighs, Pac larger calfs...and yet Cotto is considered a solid, strong welterweight.

How the hell is he doing that? The Richardson quote is among the most honest, neutral/unbiased, & straightforward I have heard about the match up. He's not dissing either guy. He said they're both on the same level. All he said about Pacquiao is that he is the shorter guy. That's all. Not better; not worse. Just physically shorter. Like, duh. He even illustrated the idea of elite, shorter boxers by referencing Tyson & Frazier. He's also saying that because of the height difference, Pacquiao's other opponents mistakenly took the wrong approach in assuming short should be approached as small.

Geezus friggin Christ, it's like people are trying to find contention with their preferred boxer just because they're not hearing something that says their guy is better.

Nazim is a ****, how many 147 fighters have to eat 7000 calories a day to make weight???? Maybe take 6000 calories off that number and you have your usual 147 fighter.

Pac ffs has to eat 7000 calories a day just to get his weight up to that range!!!!!! He is by far smaller than all these 147 fighters.

I agree with this completely. Pac has smaller dimensions than a majority of welterweights in terms of height, reach and weight. But he punches like a welter and as proved in the Cotto fight, can take the shots of a welter pretty well, so he fights big and anyone who tries to walk Pac down will pay the price for having the mindset of Pac being smaller.

Word. Why doesn't it shock me that people here misinterpreted what Naz said?

Pac is small, but, he's not so small that you can walk through him. Ask Oscar, Ricky and Miguel about that.

That is because that cat just makes **** up. He went to the Farmy school of posting bull**** to make his point.
    • Light Fly weight is 106 pounds, at the age of 16 floyd was a lightFlyweight. At the age of 16 Pac turned pro at 106
