I agree with this statment.:good Best strategy/gameplan....and who can implement that stratedgy the best will win this fight. Floyd has the advantage being able to make adjustments mid fight....PAC will need direction in the corner which is helpful....but may be the biggest obstacle for Manny.
the difference is that right now, in December 2009, Pac could easily fight his next fight at 140 if he wanted to, like he showed a few months ago against Hatton at 138. Floyd couldn't, like he showed against Marquez when he failed to make the catchweight. It has nothing to do with what weight they started their careers at.
Roach has trained 3 fighters to fight against Floyd JuuKo, Victorina Sosa, ODLH, he was in the corner for 2 of those fights. So Roach is already 0-3 against Floyd.
I can see that Naz has been reading my post.... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182481
tht true watching brother Naazim in the Pavlik vs Hopkins countdown he looks and sounds knowledgeable
love hearing nazim's phrases. you don't that anywhere else. that's a new one, t he greatest trick the devil ever did was convince the world he didn't exist. another one i like is when he told mosley, swim without getting wet. his chess anologies in the beggining of the article was good to.
Yea but he's not working with a guy who has the kind of limitations that most fighters have....even at the sports highest levels......you see DLH who is very talented and very well schooled did EXTREMELY well against Floyd....he lost...but DLH made it one of Floyd's toughest challenges. DLH wasn't prime for that fight nor was he at his overall best...yet the skills, talent and size helped him. PAC is more talented than DLH...PAC is also more dynamic and will present Floyd with his most difficult challenge and vise versa.
You guys missed the key in everything he said. PBF doesn't mess up by walking people down. Hatton did. DLH was a shell of himself. Cotto did. Mayweather won't. He will fight long the entire fight. Manny still has a good shot. I just don't see it happening though.
Key is going to be Floyd being the matador while PAC will be the bull. And yes....PAC has a shot. He's got power, speed and talent that matches or surpasses Floyd, but Floyd is superior in the skills dpt. PAC will need plans a, b, c and d going into this fight with Money. I thinke he'll do damn well.....just not enough to get the nod. I expect Floyd to show that he is a true warrior the way Leonard did with Duran to answer many of the questions the boxing public just didn't know up until the point where he actually got his heart, will and determination tested!
