A trainer can't fight a fight for a boxer though, if B-Hop fouls that is on him and nobody else. I don't remember Roy being a saint during the fight either by the way.

You cannot make the trainer 100% accountable at all times. Once the fighter is in the ring, he is responsible for his actions. You cannot blame Phil Jackson for everything Kobe does on the court. Nazim certainly didn't instruct Bernard to react the way he did to the rabbit punches. Cut the guy some slack.

They considered it a knockdown from the combination of punches Ruiz received BEFORE the illegal punch. So it was a knockdown regardless of what came after.

THEN Haye threw the illegal punch, Ruiz went down, they deducted a point from Haye, Ruiz took the count, and the rest is history.
