What division, at the time of him fighting, could he of carried his power up to and STILL of been knocking people out?
Not that high to remain optimal. When Naz loses the ability to actually one punch KO an opponent thats when he'd really struggle. That made him the fighter he was. I'd say 130 MAYBE 135 at a push though I start to doubt whether he'd one punch KO people with a clue at that weight. He could probably carry 'respectable' power up much higher than that but accumulation punching wouldn't be great for Hamed who was not really a consistent puncher.
Well if you put it in the context of the time, probably from when Naz had taken on and beat the other beltholders at FW, but had not yet fought Barrera (about 1999 or 2000), then he would have had Mayweather, Freitas, Corrales and Casamayor sitting in the division directly above him. Would he have been able to mix it with that lot, even with the power? Or are we talking about an earlier move up? You have to take account of the competition he would be facing in those divisions above him in order to answer this question.
I have to agree all the way upto heavyweight; how much does a persons punch resistant improve by by going up in weight? what a lot of people are saying in theory is that the smaller Haye shouldn't have never hurt the giant of Valuev... but he did! If Katsidis moved up all the way to Supper Middle weight (I've seen smaller guys fight at that weight by the way) and he fought say Amir Khan at that weight (who has proved maybe to have a decent chin), would you think there's a chance of Katsidis hurting Khan? I think so. The only way to really justify this argument is through science to be honest.... Or maybe have say Naz and a fellow heavyweight like Chisora punch it out on something that measure a persons punching power or just some guy holding some pads..
