    Round 7

Stevens is getting backed up and curling in both fists heavily but without much zip, Johnson never letting him get set. Johnson is switching between orthodox and southpaw and keeping a very high work rate as he bows in and presses, using his tall body to ram Stevens into submission. Now Stevens turns southpaw and fires a few right hooks as his back hits the ropes, still not able to plant his feet and get off with full power.

    10-9 Johnson

    68-65 Johnson

Stevens' punches are losing their sting. He needs a KO or knockdown

Gave the eighth to Stevens, who boxed well and landed a couple of long combinations. But even then, Johnson still seemed to be the fresher of the two at the end of the round.

    78-74 Johnson

    Round 8

Johnson is pressuring constantly, throwing one barrage after the other and never letting Stevens recuperate. Stevens jabs limply off the ropes. Stevens tosses a weak 1-2, but it's a ruse, disguising the BIG 3. Johnson takes the left hook flush and doesn't balk, continuing to lean down on Stevens and work him over with hooks and chopping rights, now orthodox. Light body shots by Stevens.

    10-9 Johnson

    78-74 Johnson

Stevens needs a knockout or multiple knockdowns to win.

Stevens probably took too much beating against Golovkin. He should taken a year off resting his body.

    Round 9

Johnson is plunking big left hooks onto the midsection of Stevens and steamrolling him onto the ropes. Stevens is throwing dainty flurries upward, misdirection before loading up on big hooks as he lulls Johnson in. Johnson simply ignores and walks through all the hooks and keeps barging through Stevens' attempts to shove him backward, landing chops and body shots.

    10-9 Johnson

    88-83 Johnson
