I wouldn't be surprised if Stevens beat one or two guys on that list.

    Tomorrow.

He faces the seemingly hard-punching son of hard-punching 70's middleweight contender and onetime young Hagler foe Eugene Cyclone Hart.

'Cept he didn't - not really, got clipped a few times but never really hit with anything solid - plenty of crowd noise but not all that much contact. Ain't gonna say GGG didn't get hit at all, but for all the pressure he's actually very responsible defensively.

Curtis said himself he just didn't really land on GGG, but it's not clear whether he understands why.

What? GGG ran right into a monster left hook from stevens, he even backed up for a second. GGG has a titanium chin. Look at it on google images.

I said before that Stevens woud learn from his GGG fight. Go watch the form again once it hits youtube - that was a Golovkin power jab and the first time I can ever recall him using that style of jab. Rozier even said pre-fight he worked Stevens on better jabbing and working behind the jab.

Stevens has better chin and BoxIQ than some give him credit for I think. If he has improved his jab and pressuring/breakdown abilities so he doesnt get Dirrelled again I favor him to beat any MW other than GGG or a healthy Martinez.

Yeah. That was a nice power jab; GGGesque. Stevens has the drive to grow and it shows. He's learning and adding things to his game. I've said before I wouldn't be surprised if Stevens eventually has a belt. I'd love to see soon against Quillin. He'd be the underdog and I'd take those odds on an upset. There are a handful of MWs I'd say beat Stevens at MW, but not a bunch. He's going to be undervalued at the casinos, too, against bigger names, so there's probably some money to be made on him in the near future.

You know what? I was fairly impressed with Hasan Young, even though he a) couldn't put Johnson away with, all told, what, half a dozen knockdowns? :yep ... b) scored half of the knockdowns with rabbit punches and c) started to get hit more in the 2nd half even with Johnson only looking to survive and never committing to attacking him.

He showed athleticism, good fundamentals, accuracy, speed and composure.

(As you can see I didn't score it RBR as it was on tape delay, but it was obviously a shutout for Young plus a cushion of a few extra points for the knockdowns...)

They incorrectly quoated Mchunu as 5'11" he is 5'8" shortest cruiser i have seen since qawi.I think with his reflexes, and defense being short (so far) seems to be an advantage. No one can hit him.
