Cruz is exploding on offense!! OVERHANDS!! UPPERCUTS!! HOOKS!! Brewer is backed up to the ropes, flailing around, getting hit, trying to counter or flop in to tie up and able to do neither. Cruz wildly slugs away!! Clapping rights over the top! Hard left hooks to the side. Brewer is getting knocked around, literally flying in the direction of Cruz's follow-through with each shot and very much resembling a pinball at the moment as he tries to dissolve his molecules and pass through the solid matter of the ropes. Cruz keeps hammering away at the body as Brewer covers his face. Cruz takes a step back and blocks a right hand lead that Brewer put everything he has left into but which still had very little on it. Light shots from outside by Brewer, just backhanding and limp rubber-banding. Body shots reaching in by Cruz.

Almost 10-8, really.

Brewer is circling and flicking light jabs into the guard. Cruz follows him, moving in straight and diagonal lines and firing hard right to the body with his full weight behind them. Brewer circles and barely dodges some body shots, only to find himself in the path of a soaring right to the head. Jabs to the top of the head by Brewer, blocked as Cruz clasps his gloves over the midpoint of his scalp. More body shots by Cruz coming forward, dinging Brewer enough to visibly score but with some edge taken off by Brewer's movement.
