    Cruz is hammering Brewer immediately into a corner!! Head and body shots!! Brewer covers up and tries to lean down on Cruz's back with his forearms while craning his neck to protect his jaw. Hard body shots by Cruz. Reaching hooks to the body by Cruz miss, and he's wiping his nose with his left palm after every miss. Several times in a row. Weird. Runny nose? Does he have a cold? He sure isn't fighting like it. Brewer flurries extensively, and Cruz keeps his guard up to catch everything. A few of Brewer's best shots pool-ball Cruz's gloves back into his own face, but none are getting through cleanly. Now it's Cruz's turn, and he's back to landing hard body shots.

    If this gets to Rounds 9-12, it'll be interesting to see if Cruz has anything left. I can see it becoming a slug-fest late as their defenses get even worse.

    Brewer is running and pot shotting with his jab. Cruz moves forward and lobs big left hooks upstairs and clubbing rights to the body. Left hook to the sternum by Cruz as Brewer is backpedaling with his arms at his sides. Cruz is walking Brewer down, taxing his legs, economical with his punch output. A few reaching jabs and rights to the body by Cruz, coming forward. Brewer has dropped off to throwing almost nothing, not even the weak jab. Just running. The crowd boos.

    I hate watching guys like Brewer who think they know how to box, but all they do is run and jab from the outside and can't set up a shot to save his life.
