Actually Roach was saying Thompson should've been DQ'ed for his corner entering the ring during the round (during the count).
Which imo would have been harsh as they entered before they realised a count was taking place, with the referee not indicating whether he was going to start a count or call it a late punch for quite a few seconds.

IMO it was on the bell and correctly ruled a knockdown.

 

The guy was impressive. I am also impressed he is learning English.
