Does fack all for me here in the UK, but for Boxing as a sport, that's fantastic news

 

NO! We need BOXING on premium cable channels because fighters and trainers cuss like sailors. Nah, I'm just playing. I think that's major. We need a new class of fighters to work their way up to HBO and SHO.

 

So there will be Friday Night Fights level fighters on there?

i would hope they have decent names and style matchups for the nbc shows otherwise it's a bad look for boxing, good matchmaking is essential!

 

Sounds decent enough. Not to be Danny downer or anything, but boxing fans really need to get behind this series. It's only a, what, 6 fight deal? These guys are just dipping their toes in the water and really aren't behind it 100%. We, the boxing public, need to get behind it and what every single show on Versus and on NBC. We need to really give these guys big ratings to really think they have something here.

And while all this sounds good, usually, these deals with only one promoter involved usually don't go down well. Let's hope that Main Events puts on good shows and not just look to try and build a star.

I really hope NBC gives MP promotions a shot to show off their talent. MP promotion really knows how to put on a show. I like how they play Mannys hot new single in between rounds and as entrance music for the fighters. If only Nonito had signed with MP promotions at the same time he signed with top rank and golden boy he would got a chance to show the world the real definition of giant killer.
