Does Liam Smith fight a little bit like Lemieux? No word/indication from Lemieux's team as to who he's sparring... but given that they have the same trainer and considering videos available on RDS & YT, Lemieux sparred with Pascal before so could be a possibility.
Well yeah, that is literally the entire point of sparring. Such a misconception people have that your sparring partners have to be clones of your opponent. :-(

"a bit like Lemieux" != "clones of your opponent" in case that was directed at me... You wouldn't spar Margarito to prepare for Lara, right? My guess is they took Gomez & Smith to simulate the reach advantage N'Dam will have on the night... worked on distance control & timing.
