Lovermore N'dou (45-9-1, 30KOs) is calling for a rematch with newly crowned IBF junior welterweight champ Paulie Malignaggi (23-1, 5KOs). Malignaggi outpointed N'dou for the title at the Mohegan Sun Casino on Saturday Night in Connecticut. N'dou is not mad at Malignaggi, but he is furious with the referee, Eddie Cotton and the judges.
"I always knew it was going to be tough to outpoint an American in America with an American referee and American judges," Ndou told the Australian Herald Sun. "Malignaggi only had to hit me on the gloves and the crowd would go wild. But I didn't realize I had to fight the referee as well."
Cotton took a point away from N'dou in the sixth round for rabbit punching, and broke the fighters apart every time they got close. He also disputes the knockdown he suffered in the ninth round, after he caught coming in by a right hand that he never saw coming.
"He awarded Malignaggi a knockdown in round nine that was nothing more than a slip, and he took a point off me in round six for hitting him behind the head. I knew from then on I had to knock Malignaggi out to win. Even then, every time I got in close to work away the referee would break us apart. I got desperate to knock him out and maybe lost a little rhythm," N'dou said. "He was awkward, but I don't believe it was a fair fight."

Ok as for the American thing.. It has nothing to do with being in America or having American judges. The fight wasnt even close, Malignaggi schooled him plain and simple. Yes maybe the ref was excessive in taking a point for the rabbit punching but it wasnt like he wasnt hitting him behind the head. Plus as Lennox Lewis pointed out N'dou was cheating and kept stepping on Malignaggis foot to try to get him from moving away. And before anyone says "Oh it was an accident".. BULL****.. Once or twice is an accident but he did it NUMEROUS times. And LMAO@ Him claiming the knockdown was a "slip". That's also BULL****.. He got hit with a straight right hand right on the chin and went down.. I'm not saying he was seriously hurt but it was definetly a legit knockdown not a "slip" like he claims.. I am going to check if they have it available on youtube.. if someone finds it please post it.

Does he want to become Malignaggi's sixth knockout victim??? Because he was outclassed in basically every round and dropped by a guy who makes Pernell Whitaker look like Julian Jackson when he hits. N'dou needs to re-establish himself before he takes another title shot.

Malignaggi won the fight fair and square and has made me somewhat of a fan. But I must say that the ref was not going to allow any fighting inside at all. Every time they would come together you would hear 'stop, stop'. And Ndou likes to fight inside. Saying that though I can't see a rematch being much different, Malignaggi got caught a few times but I have viewed that Cotto fight and the kid can take a punch. Even though I'm an Aussie it was good to see Paulie at work.

that was clearly a knockdown, a flash knockdown, but there was NO slip. and Paulie dominated the score cards. he didn't lose a round. this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Maybe he wants a go at the ref, did not matter results wise but the refereeing was awful.

What did the ref do wrong? N'dou was several steps behind Paulie the entire fight, he was so much quicker than N'dou. The few times N'dou got inside close Paulie tied him up, so the ref broke them up as he should.

He never gave them a chance to work close as soon as they touched each other he called the break.

I've been to school dances where the chaperons would allow you more contact than that.
