Lovemore N'dou was a top contender back then, I'm still remember when he lose that hightly controversial decision against at that time the number 2 ranked jr welterweight Shramba Mitchell, but that time was at 2004 when He fought Shramba mithcel i think he won that fight, and give Cotto a hard fight. He is now a perenial contender but he is almost 40 years old. Phillip Ndóu has always been a journeyman.
N'dou was pretty underrrated back then, He beat Mitchell at that time but was robed, then He lose a close decision to Cotto. And the next year if not for the knockdowns He would had beaten Witter too.
