The WBA came into existence in 1962, & was just a name change from the NBA.

The WBC has been around since 1963 or so. Suliaman has been El Presidente since 1975.

Ippy I would rate the WBO over the "Three Champs per weight WBA shower of **** " any day , but anyway no Diss to our freind here from the IBO but Beaver is right , any fan worth his salt knows the score .

The sad part josey....when promoters and networks look at their demographics, you know who comes in as the last priority?...all of us in here.

Thats why belts are still very much a marketing tool and fighters want/ need them. They arent a selling pitch to me and you, but we dont count. Caual, new fans obviously buy it all up and thats why top liners like tarver, hatton, floyd, klitschko have worn IBO belts.

I'l give it to the IBO...they have received good publicity as far as attracting top level fighters to contest/wear their belts. Amongst all the other rubbish title fights they have sanctioned, they can hang their hats on those big names.

Good point. Losing weight to drop divisions has softened quite a few chins.

I said they have had some good title fights and belt holders. Like the fight you mention but here in Australia the IBO has a bad track record. Im a Katsidis nut hugger
but this fight being a World Title no matter how good a match up it is is a joke. Anyway should be a great fight.
