I know BoxRec isnt the most reliable source but they have Lovemore listed as fighting Phillip Ndou in South Africa on the 11th of July. Anybody in the know can confirm/deny? Phillip Ndou got KOed in a pretty good fight with Floyd Mayweather back in 2003, then got KOed again by Issac Hlatshwayo in 2004. After that fight was forced to retire for medical reason but came back in Feb in France. I assume the fight would be at WW?

Not sure Daz. Lovemore was supposed to face Mwelase in an IBO eliminator and Phillip is with GG as well so guess it is feasible
Can't remember the names but there was a father vs son bout I'm pretty sure, and the old man won, may have been not too long ago.

I think fights are pretty easy for him to come by now - good tough trial-horse is how most look at him now. **** me the shape he gets in though I'm almost 3 years older and it's facking embarrasing!
Haha yeah Lovemore does well for a guy his age. Its true he is now pretty much a gate keeper type fighter. Still have respect for him as a tough fit take on anybody fighter though. But he is and has always been just that level or two below World Champion level, no matter what bull**** title he may come across. Just wish the guy could be a bit more humble, i mean to read his interviews he got robbed in every fight he lost and fighters a running from him left right and centre atsch
Good Question. A long shot for correct answers, or genuine fight stakes... There have been countless times over the late 19th and early 20th century, when brothers would spar for exhibition bouts... generally filling a fight card which lost a few opponents at late notice. Its doubless that many fighters, whilst travelling the country with the same opponents, whom they encountered up to a dozen times during their careers, would trade names or brothers to replace them for the evening bout. The newspaper was the only means of reporting early fights. Who really knew who was who??? Whats in a name?? Matty Ropis, whilst chatting on DaSweetScience Radio show a couple of weeks ago told a classic story regarding Jimmy Bell and a named opponent..(who was in fact, a good mate of his. Didn't matter much, as Jimmy Ko'd the **** out of Pat). The crowd didnt know any different. Much the same as The Indo's and Taxi Drivers who come here to fight.. WHO ARE THEY??? Go figure!! As for any relatives fighting in modern times, for a real purpose??? Maybe the Kray Bros... just to show their attitudes towards all interested in mixing with them. Im sure there's legitimate encounters in the books... will take a better look.
