I get a few sore neck muscles after sparring when I take a few in the head. Can anyone recommend what exercises are good to build up the neck muscles?
lay on the floor and go up and down with your head for 5min. of course, you can add other head movements like from shoulder to shoulder, circling with head in one and other side etc.. there are many neck exercises, you can do it in pair too. search youtube you will find

Another popular one is a weighted head band that you can strap around your forehead and do neck exercises, like crunches but for your neck only..
Chewing bark off a tree might help as well :rofl Trapezius goes up all the way to your neck, those are quite easy to train. Lots of info online
