Leaving work in about 30 mins.
Tell me a good Thomas Hearns fight to watch. Not aganist SRL, Hagler or Duran.

Cueves is quick and destructive...one of the most dominant efforts you are going to see for a first title win.

Thank you. I just started downloading it now. Got any others? I want to see Hearns when he was just a prospect.

The first Barkley fight is a good one. Might not be the ending you want...but what an ending! Hearns body shots in this fight are brutal.

    Benitez:yep

It's a classic & you'll really appriecate Tommy's superb boxing ability against the brilliant Benitez. A 15 round master class from both Legends:deal

And Hearns gave him the belt back at his funeral a few weeks later.

If you want to see a "different" look of Hearns, try vs Hill. Tommy had a different trainer and actually trained at Venice Beach (V.I.P.). Few gave him a chance against Hill. His new trainer altered his stance and guard a bit resulting in a whole new Hearns winning convincingly.

Do you have access to all Hearns fights? If so, Randy Shields was a good one. Luis Primera in December of 1980 was interesting. Tommy discovered his body punches in that fight. What is amazing about Hearns which many other fighters do not seem to do is when something like a bodypunch starts to work for him in a fight, he keeps using it. He really focused on what worked and did it. Many fighters are successful at things during a fight and let it go and blow the fight. In the Primera fight, Tommy finished him off with body punches.
