Im coming back from an injury but luckily i havent shown ring rust and technically im still where i am where i left off but my coach did see me a bit overweight. Im usually in the high 140s low 150s but im at 170 right now! Eating a lot and not training in your bed isnt a good combo but anyway i need to lose the fat but i have been struggling and i dont why. I have been doing roadwork and kept working at the gym but its been going down very slowly. I think i have problems dieting because i am a very bad eater. I dont like that much fruits and veggies but i dont eat junk food neither.(i gained the weight by eating while being sedentary and inactive). Whats the best way to lose the extra fat? Should i take protein or glutamine or will this only make the process slower?

Any help i would appreciate it a lot.

Eat healthy, and work hard. Its basically about calories in vs calories out, but you want to cut out bad sugars and the heavy carbohydrates.

As well as gym sessions / classes

Cardio wise: Skip 10 minutes 3 times a day, run in the morning

    Food wise:

Eat tons of vegetables instead of junk food when you are hungry.

Lower your intake of bread/potatoes in favour of smaller ammounts of brown rice/pasta.

When you eat 'chicken' or 'fish' or whatever just eat fillets of it rather than 'breaded' or 'battered'.

That's about it really, there is no real 'quick fix' mate, just grind out the cardio and diet... Do all the above and you should lose 2ibs a week pretty easily.

Well sounds like you know what the problem is. There's no quick fix. Just up your activity and training and start eating better. You need fruits and vegetables, so there's no getting around that. Just experiment with different recipes and find a few that you like.

If you are trying to lose weight really, really fast then yeah don't eat cereal, go with eggs, fruit, etc. HOWEVER, you are an athlete and therefore I am presuming your weight loss is to make you a better boxer?

Eating cereal for breakfast is a good way of giving you energy throughout the day for workouts and recovery from your morning run.

I would really not eat sandwiches for lunch, they are nutritionally not very good for you, esspecially if you have butter and non meat fillings. I would suggest brown Pasta with lean meat of some kind.

Bread can also bloat your stomach (appearence wise) and doesn't fill you up to the extent pasta / rice will.

If you do eat cereal, be careful. Most cereal is packed with sugar.

    Keep it slow.

The problem with all those diets is that when you terrorize your body, there is a result but then after a while you start gaining weight and then again you drop it and you gain it....

By rapid losing weight you make your organism loose fats but later it will start recovering it learns and knowing that its likely to happen again you will weight more.

My humble advice is to take it easy, let it go off slowly. Do cardio and don't worry about food.
