Hi im aware that too much salt (sodium) causes water retention. And its my undertanding our bodies need salt? Can someone with knowlegde tell me how much is "too much". And also ways of avoiding/ getting rid of water retention? Thanks in advance
It will completely depend on your activity levels, the same as anything in regards to nutrition. Yes - You need salt. When you exercise, you lose salts through sweat, so it is important to replenish electrolytes to avoid dehydration.
