Need Help with weight loss and strength training PLEASE

    There's so much to address with this post... You need to progress with exercise and to get the most from each type of exercise it's best to focus on improving one particular aspect at a time.. You can't get super fit aerobically, build massive strength, power and lose weight all at the same time.
    You say you're 6.5kg over what you should be, that's a fair bit of weight. Are you carrying a lot of excess fat?

    Is this true? where does the other weigh loss come from just fat?

    Is it not possible to gain strength using weights with out gaining muscle?

    I wouldnt say alot no. But it is visable i gained weight from fat gain if you look at my face (rounder then usual but not that much) and belly

    Not gona disagree with you. Its a terrible idea which would help me make the weight quicker and fight again sooner. Only reason im even contemplating it

    I understand you need to lose it quick, but "fasting" is going to hurt you a lot. You will lose a lot of muscle.

    And like I said on the first page, creatine can help if you know how to cycle it. But again, you'd need a good amount of time to lose the water weight after you cycle off.

    Other things that can HELP with weight loss (fat loss mostly) are fish oil pills and this stuff called OxyElite Pro. Obviously, you need to eat right and burn lots of calories, but those two supplements help...just make sure you don't rely on them if you use them.

    However, using these and cutting, make sure you drink A LOT of water, and make sure you get a good amount of protein in. While muscle does weigh more than fat, and losing it would help you weigh less quicker, I'm sure you probably dont want to lose all the strength gains you've made.

    Also, if you're still a few pounds overweight, say the night before a fight, don't eat until after you weigh in. You're about 3-5 pounds lighter in the morning after you go to bathroom than you are at night.

    I'll admit I'm not the most sound person to ask advice from in regards to boxing, but I do this kind of stuff for a living...I enjoy it, for some reason.

    I agree 100% im following a healthy diet at them moment wth my training the weight should come off by its self. If i have a fight lined up and i still a bit over then i wont eat before weigh in and at worst dehydrate myself before the weigh in

    From day 2 onward, the body manufactures the needed glucose through two metabolic pathways. The first source is glycerol derived from adipose tissue(fat). However, the fat-triglyceride-glycerolglucose pathway alone cannot produce sufficient quantities of glucose once the liver stores of glycogen are depleted. Thus a second, predominant source of glucose is obtained from the catabolism of muscle tissue. Some muscle loss is obligatory as the body utilizes amino acids from muscle tissues to synthesize glucose.

    The fasting individual would need to catabolize over a pound of muscle mass a day to meet his or her glucose requirements. By the third day of the fast, however, the liver begins generating large quantities of ketones. As the level of ketones rises in the bloodstream they compete with glucose as a substance that can be used for energy in the central nervous system, thereby greatly diminishing the body's need for glucose, sparing protein, and preventing further acidosis caused by tissue catabolism. Through this inherent survival mechanism, the brain, muscle, and heart begin to use ketones instead of glucose as fuel. Muscle wasting at this time decreases to less than 0.2 kg per day. This is known as protein sparing. In this phase, muscle is conserved and the maximum breakdown of fatty tissue and removal of atheromas and toxins occur.

    Wouldnt this happen aswell if i went on a no carb diet or a low carb diet?
    Im currently eating about 140g of carbs around which i find too much? Or not

    I benched 455 last year at my last meet, squatted 520, deadlifted 660. But, my squat is way down now after my third knee surgery in 3 years, and I now have osteoarthritis :(

    I'm most likely done with powerlifting and football (I might squeeze a year or two out of football, but I'm basically done), and that's why I want to start up boxing...I NEED a sport, or my life becomes pointless to me. I have lots of stuff going for me, but I can't survive without sports.

    140g isnt that much so i dont think it too much but i could be wrong, google that **** init or ask someone knowledgable

    Got any vids? What are your macros like? Or what are they like when you're preparing for a meet?

    I got some vids when I was in high school, but that's just me in my garage.

    And I don't do anything different for meets. I don't kill myself stressing over what to eat and how often, I just make sure I watch my calories, get my vitamins, and get my protein. There's really no secrets, you don't need to go on ultra strict diets or anything, you just need to work your ass off in the gym. That's just my opinion though...maybe that's why I haven't won as many as I'd like, haha.

    But all my hard work will go to waste, as I haven't been able to squat since October, and I still can't :-(
