    Hi Guys,

So I have another video here, I got flamed pretty bad last time I uploaded cause every on thought I was too hard on my sparring partner.

Check out my new video below, this is one of the better guys in the gym, he has 15kgs over me still.

what I want is some ideas on how to open his defence up?? I like being on the attack and I don't mid taking a few to land one so keep that in mind.

even just your overall opinion would be appreciated, this is probably my 15th round of sparring ive ever done.

He isn't hard to hit, you just don't know it. Feint. Punch to the body. Work around him instead of back and forth.

I'm by no means an expert but my advice for breaking down his defense is to double up on the jab and immediately follow up to the body. His body seems to be wide open because he covers up his head pretty high at most times. Also, when you move, I noticed sometimes you roll off the ***** of your feet onto your heels a little bit when moving backwards. To fix this you should just lift your back foot off about a half inch max and shoot backwards or in whatever direction. I don't mean to insult your intelligence with this as you probably already know it.

Using some fast and light jabs and straights to make him lift his arms and hard to the body. If you catch him you can also finish hard with an uppercut.

After that he will doubt and he'll be an easier target for clean shots.

Anyone else notice the people hitting the backs in the background.. They all just stand there flat footed and arm punch away. The whole row of people are doing it, not just a single person.

    Wtf kind gym is this?

Looks like a boxercise class. I wouldn't judge the gym based on that. Many gyms, like mine - while being a legit gym for serious pros and amateurs, don't make money off us. They make money through group classes for white collar types that have no desire to compete.
Unless you live in a big city in the US or UK, many gyms have to cater to these less athletic paper pusher types to pay bills.

yep you are spot on bro, they are the boxercise people and that is just a warm up. this isn't my main gym either, I travel around to other gyms for sparring practice and to vary my training partners.

Those people can barely 1-2 properly yet, no need to judge them.

Regardless of it being a real gym or not he seems really good for a beginner.
