Neil spoke to us yesterday, and it appears he won't be fighting in arguably the biggest tournament ever in UK MMA.

    http://www.mmaunltd.com/news/details.asp/id/1205/neil-could-be-out-of-zt-heavyweight-tournament.htm

    Other people in it are:

    UFC vet Neil Wain
    UK MMA legend Tengiz Tendoradze
    Pride vet James Thompson
    CFC Heavyweight Champ Karlos Vermola
Britain's Strongest Man winner Oli Thompson
UK MMA Title holder Martin Thompson
    M1 Challenge's Rob Broughton

That is one stacked tournament!!! Anyone going? It's in London.

I didn't know about this either. I remember watching Oli Thompson in BSM/WSM competitions years ago, didn't know he took up MMA. I done a search and it looks like he has had 2 mma fights already? I must say they have done well to get those fighters listed for this tournament.

Damn good line up for a British card actually, pity Neil Grove is out.

They could probably get Ricco Rodriguez to fill in for him.

He is willing to do smaller shows and is based in the UK at Wolfslair.

It's so hard to follow British MMA now. Even on the internet, info is so scarce. Wish they could get this stuff on tv.

Anyway, shame Grove is out of that. He would have been a great addition.

Anyone got the results for the show? I know they changed the location and a few of the fighters originally planned for the tourny pulled out.

Found live play by play on this site mate:

Also, Cage Warriors forums are also great! You might be surprised at 1 or 2 results so far!!!

Yeah, following the pbp on cage warriors. That is one of the bad aspects of these kind of tournys, these things end up happening. Didn't they have an alternate fight?

Well, they were meant to, but apparently, all the promotional shizzle is coming into play.

Sol Gilbert (who runs the show) promotes Oli. It is in his best interests he has a decent chance of winning the tourney. Being stopped by effectively a middleweight does not help his case though lol!!!
