The action through seven has been sustained consistently, and the bout mostly has been cleanly fought with hardly any clinching...but it has gotten really monotonous. Hernández keeps drilling headfirst into Krael's chest plugging the body while the Filipino-American slaps down with counter flurries off the ropes and doubles up on uppercuts.

Over and over and over...

 

Flores still has it a shutout, now 80-72 Krael.

 

Hitman Hernández is like is you gave Brandon Ríos an Ambien...and had him give a few pints of blood before climbing into the ring.

(in other words, about 20% of the engine and 10% of the power of Bam-Bam..)

I am high on Tabanao as well, but Leonard Ellerbe is very high on Ángel Miguel Leo apparently ...telling Farhood that he's "only a couple of fights away" (from presumably a world title, which is quite a boast for a 16-0 kid that hasn't even graduated past 8-rounders before tonight...)

 

Cortés wins the nicknames battle.

Oh wow, Cortés went 2-1 against Teófimo Andrés López in the amateurs. (and had a close loss to Devin Haney)
