Lets get something straight here Mayweather and Cotto fans. All this bias about who's afraid to fight each other needs to stop! I'm a fan of both, but I'm a biger Mayweather fan. Mayweather respects Cotto, and even said so after beating Hatton. Cotto respects Mayweather as well. I believe it's more of Arum being the one who's afraid of these two fight happening right now. I would love to see him offer Mayweather 8 mil plus. Eventually these fight will happen, I really believe that. Cotto really needs to take a chapter out of Hatton's book and call out Mayweather after he beats Gomez. He needs to say he's been ducking him 4 years and watch Mayweather respond. I would love to see them fight this year instead of him DLH fighting again.

I told you I like you yesterday, and that a reason right there. No world class fighter should be scared of each other. Only fighter people were scared of was Tyson, but when he fought someone who wasn't what happen. So I agree with the thread. It's business, and what a shame but its true
I agree, and I had expected the fight to take place in early 2009. Both Mayweather and Cotto (or Cotto's team) would prefer a DLH match over each other. Mayweather is on better terms with GBP than Arum, and Arum is on better terms with GBP than Mayweather as well. DLH and Schaefer had said they would fight Cotto if negotiations with Mayweather fell thru. It was obvious the fight would have to wait. However, with Mayweather suing Top Rank, claiming he was underpaid, I'm not so optimistic of the fight ever taking place.
