Iagree that Nelson was much faster at 126 than 130 and Barrera is faster than the 130 Nelson however at 126 its pretty close with Nelson being the quicker one shot guy and Barrera having the faster combos.

How many fights Nelson went undefeated is almost completely irrelevant when trying to determine who would win between them at Featherweight. It's a cliche, but it's so true, styles make fights. I can certainly accept that Nelson's strength, power, and his own ability is a lot to overcome. Marco could get knocked out, Nelson does possess that level of power, and he's strong as an ox, so if Marco wanted to counter he could simply be overwhelmed by an aggressive Nelson. I don't think Marco hits hard enough to hurt Nelson, but he does hit hard enough to gain respect.

I haven't seen nearly as much as Nelson as I have Marco, obviously, but Nelson comes across as someone who could be outboxed. Barrera's jab at 126 was better than it ever had been, and he was very mobile so he could pull himself out of range very quickly. If Nelson leads in out of frustration to hit Marco, he could be countered with 3-4's. We've seen this before, and considering I believe Marco to have superior hand speed, it's not inconceivable...at least not for me. We're talking a 12 round fight here I presume, and Marco never had a history of losing his poise, or running out of gas.

I don't think the outcome of barrera edging a slim pts win is implausable..not the scenerio I envision, but not a stretch by any means! You say nelson could be outboxed, but outside of sanchez and Sweet Pea I don't think many others did or could! It would take a special performance by MAB to take this, and certainly he is capable of having that kind of night. By the way i could se nelson scoring a KO along the way as well, but don't find it the likely scenerio with guys at peak form...I am also not talking a 9-3 10-2 blowout for Nelson by any means. I see a close fight that nelson edges

I don't think Nelson ever got outboxed. Whitaker is the only one who got close to a schooling even though he clearly won the fight. The fight with Sanchez was more of a fight than a chess match and the scores were pretty close coming into the 14th round where Sanchez stopped Nelson.

nelson i think takes a close but unanimous decision every round is tight but a cant see MAB outboxing nelson ,and i feel nelson is stronger and has the edge in power
