    Yeah, at that level of poverty & desperation the cash in hand right now probably seems a realer concern than maybe getting caught & banned for life. The smart move would be to not jeopardize future potential earnings, but...a bird in the hand and whatnot.

    Take a look at the rounds odds on any given fight... They get pretty wild. We're talking a 15x to 20+ times return on your money. I imagine there's a lot of rationalizing in most fighters minds but like I was saying, I imagine it's a fairly common if ugly part of the fight game and has been for a long time.
