Hi All, just watched the IFL interview with Smith and Nelson which was uploaded last night where Johnny Nelson states that Uysk is an average southpaw. He’s a complete idiot and should not be on sky giving his worthless opinions. This guy when he boxed, won a belt with no prestige at cruiserweight and ducked every other title holder despite having around 50 fights already under his belt. Uysk won the undisputed title after a handful. Total knobhead.
Haven't see it but it wouldn't surprise me if ludicrous comments like that come out of his mouth. He's a strange one Nelson. One minute he makes comments like that along with Tony Bellew being a better technician than Usyk lol Then other times he'll refer to the time he saw Usyk giving Wlad headaches in sparring lol
Good question, rhetorical or not, Im going to go with a so called ‘world champion’ who wasn’t even in the top 5 of his division even though he had previously spent some time campaigning at heavyweight. He’s a bell.
I used to watch IFL avidly but since summer 2019 I stopped completely and don’t watch any IFL or any Sky interviews. I just keep up with this forum, Benson’s twitter account and twitter generally to keep up with boxing news. I’d recommend doing the same and just canning all the crappy YouTube boxing interview accounts. Most are utterly devoid of adding value and why anyone would want to dedicate even five minutes of their free time to listen to an idiot and company shill like Nelson spout his useless boxing opinions is beyond me completely.
Hes a shill/parody combo at this point is Nelson, I have no clue who exactly he appeals to, same with Bellew.
He (Usyk) is. He’s hardly Michael Nunn, Herol Graham, Pernell Whitaker, Joe Calzaghe or Manny Pacquaio. Southpaws are rare and many are truly amazing.
Jesus what's happened to Johnny Nelson! Usyk clearly ain't an average southpaw just like Loma ain't an average classical boxer. No comparisons needed.
I think it's opposite and he's playing down Usyk ability as AJ has now signed with DAZN and Nelso nis a company man.
