I think Burn's height and range made him a difficult to really tag, and he was good at tying up and smothering work before stepping on the gas himself. Opponents could never really settle or get into a rhythm.
no it's fact that the likes of David Brophy needs regular top class sparring, down in Leeds he can get it by travelling and in the gym we'll be in perfect sense I'd say me old mucker :good
Great move Billy, sad in one way for Scottish boxing, but makes sense. More opportunities for you and the fighters. Remember if your looking for a cruiser weight give me a call and get me to lose a couple of stone lol.
Huge potential in that area billy if you find a decent fighter he will get a following.. Warrington is an example if he continues winning he will be massive draw
got to laugh at all this billy nelson love in on here now. lol billy is leaving scotland for one reason and thats nobody in scotland wants to train with him except david brophy. billy has had loads of pro fighters train at his gym but nobody ever sticks it out with him because they all find him out very quickly, he's a poor mans peter harrison. billy done very well with ricky burns and that can never be taken away from him but why hasn't anyone else he has trained won anything or stuck with him? here are some of the boxers i know has trained at his gym and left him very quick after broken promises craig mcewan, michael roberts, willie limond, kenny anderson, stevie simmons, ronnie clark. i know there are loads more but ask yourself this, just because he moves to leeds why will he suddenly get all of these boxers to come train with him and he will make them champions. lol
Can see why you would want to move , Can see the benefits , But WHY oh WHY leeds . I'm mean its Yorkshire , They speak funny , There thick has pig **** , There beer is shite , Its has cold has scotland without the beuty , , There footbal team is shite , They thin Paul Sykes , a bullying ***** is there hero , Just don't understand Billy . atsch Go to Manchester . Proven sports capitol; of Britain . :hat
