Neno Rodriquez should have stayed with Top Rank, instead of signing with Mayweather Promotions. He has only 1 fight which was February of last year. Mayweather just flashed him some cash and he signed. I know he was pissed at Top Rank because the promoted Verdejo more than him, but at least he would be active and might have had a shot at fighting Verdejo. Mayweather fighters are to inactive, Jleon Love, Durlome, Tabiti. The only fighter that Mayweather really promotes is Tank. He should try to get his other fighters more active, especially Tabiti to see if he can get him a title shot.
Hard to get those fighters any activity if there are so little TV dates. SHO had 15 fight cards last year(not including SHObox). HBO had 20 cards. (Not that TMT seems to be working with HBO) PBC´s more popular fighters take up most of what SHO has to offer and that leaves the lower tier TMT guys out to dry.
Love has a big, crossroads fight coming up. Badou Jack is fighting for the title, Tabiti has been inactive, but he is the NABF Cruiserweight champ. Dulorme had two fights last year, and has already won and lost a title. Also, Gavril has had back to back huge fights (for him), Ishe Smith still gets TV work way past his prime, Mickey Bey has won and lost a world title, Theophane got the good payday with Broner, and had two fights last year, Lionell Thompson just fought Edwin rodriguez, etc. A little inactive, maybe, but guys fight 2 MAYBE three times a year nowadays with any outfit. Lomacheno has 11 fights in 4 1/2 years, that's just how it goes. You don't make any money fighting off TV.
I agree with Badou Jack, after that first loss he really turned his career around. He has been in nothing but big fights lately. Jleon is just getting a big fight now but been to inactive. It was smart of Shakur Stevenson to sign with Top Rank because although he is a prospect Top Rank knows how to build fighters. He was smart to turn down Roc Nation because there a lower tier promoter even if they did offer him a bigger signing bonus out of the Olympics.
