He told the DAZN team, he weighed 139lbs the night after the weigh in. Its only natural to think he must have been in the 140s when he got in the ring. Incredible what boxers must put their bodies through to make these weights.
Well, I like panterita neri, I know most people here dont do it, but i do, nevertheless he's not a good example of what a fighter should do regarding weight.
Id like to see him in against MJ assuming MJ comes through his next fight. Seems like it should be easy to make as they're both working with DAZN
Pretty sure Nery is Oscar Valdez in disguise That beard is clearly fake and they look very similar facially This content is protected
he was still the smaller man. that was evident at the weigh in. unless you believe boxers regenerate muscle over night after the weigh in. i would love to see him vs inoue. this cat has a solid chin, and has some spiteful punches himself. it would be dang entertaining.
I can't fathom removing 17+ pounds of water weight from my body, and then adding it back on in short order. And I am 175!
i like monster. nery gets lazy with his defense and gets caught too often. if monster gets that many cracks at it, he finishes him off.
The hype for this fight did die a little due to Nery's loss against Figgy, but it's still a great fight. Nery vs Fulton would be interesting too.
he looks more polished than i remember, which makes me think hes still improving. which he needs to keep doing. but the raw material is there. hes got speed, a chin, power, timing and heart. needs fine tuning, both technically and strategically. keep in mind we saw him against a guy with no head movement, so things were greatly simplified for his style. he got the shots he wanted. other top guys are gonna be harder to time. but in a straight shoot out, this guy is dangerous.
