This is very ironic, because I was contemplating posting a MM between Garza and Rudy Zavala - Zavala was another exciting brawler, and he stopped Decima. I'd go with Garza over Decima - Decima's chin was pretty dodgy. Garza's chin wasn't all that great either, but it was better than Decima's. Yeah, it would be a highly excited slugfest though. Who would you favor between Garza and Zavala? Or maybe, Garza vs Juan Jose Estrada, but Estrada was kind of a level above Garza.
That would be a good fight. Decima looked very heavy handed in beating Banke and Nestor was hittable. But, before the drinking got the best of him, Nestor was a very determined fighter. I think that he would beat Decima in a war. I do have a bias in that I know Nestor pretty well and he was trained by one of my closest friends. Rudy Zavala, if we are talking about the fighter from LA, isn't beating Nestor. I saw Zavala from his debut, saw him in the gym. He was beyond hittable; you couldn't miss him. He didn't worry about it because he had faith in his power and ability to put punches together. Nestor would beat him up.
I would agree with Nestor beating Zavala, but it would be brutal while it lasted. Zavala vs Jesus Salud was a BRUTAL war. A bit one sided in favor of Salud, but brutal nonetheless. This content is protected
I saw Estrada beat Jesus Poll, but I had to look that up to be sure of it. My inclination is to pick Nestor but I honestly don't remember enough about Estrada for that to be any more than a feeling.
I like this fight, nice little thread here. I'd pick Garza here, better chin and just a better fighter overall. The Banke Decima beat looked as flat as I've ever seen a fighter. Nestor in a war is my pick. I think I'd agree with you two as well. Nestor beats Rudy. Great fight there as well. I'd pick Estrada to KO all three in wars and great fights. SBW has an absurdly high amount of insanely entertaining brawerls.
