Sports fans can often let their emotions dictate their views. True boxing fans are supposed to hate Jake Paul and believe they themselves could get off the couch and beat him. So their worldview is shaken when they see he has an at least OK chin on him, and then have to shout fixed.

 

He was trying to loosen himself up. He's mentally shot.
AJ is mentally shot. He was bodied by Dubois, and he's in the ring with Jake Paul because he's a fraud looking for big money, and then the bell rings and he realizes the kid moves quite well.

 

Your whole point is why this kind of thing can’t be stopped.
I think it constitutes fixed if one fighter has to pretend to try and pantomime punches for x amount of rounds

That's a fair point. If Jake were smart he shouldn't make that fight. You can't keep taking massive shots from fighters bigger than you and not have it incur long lasting damage.

 

I've seen bigger mismatches on undercards.
