just watched it, not a great fight not even a good fight I'm glad I didn't watch it live.

Taylor's foot work made Serrano look lost in there. Neither one was really landing much from what I saw. Felt Serrano lost this one clearly after having gotten ****ed over the first two fights

I turned it on at the fight with the sound off. Who was doing the unofficial card?

The multiple news sites I went on seem in agreement that Taylor won

    Yahoo Taylor 97-93
    Guardian Taylor 97-93
    ESPN Taylor 96-94
NYT 95-95 draw though the author said it was a great night of boxing so maybe he doesn't know what he's watching
    Bad left hook Taylor 97-94
USA today had it 96-94 Taylor
MMA Junkie Had it 95-95 a draw but had round 1 10-10 and no other even rounds so he ****ed up his math and should have had it 96-95 Taylor

Does anyone know much about the Netflix business approach to boxing?

Are they trying to be a player or show a few fights here or there?

Are they profitable with this or is this a loss leader to bring in subscribers?

    Will they eventually be PPV?

PBC said they were killing PPV, within a few years all their big fights were PPV
DAZN said they were killing PPV, they over paid Canelo and then started doing more and more PPV

These businesses can't seem to over pay their stars then not recoup the losses without it

Netflix is a massive company maybe this will be different

It was an exhibition fight, neither of them actually wanted to fight. Both of them just wanted to take their guaranteed $8 million purses apiece and head home.

After a night's sleep my opinion hasn't changed. Serrano was throwing 1-2s at air but thinking they were effective punches. Taylor's plan was to ran and slap to keep from being battered (again). Her plan was ugly but effective.

I couldn't give Serrano more than a couple rounds and at least the first round could have been scored 0-0.

I’m all for ladies boxing when they show up ready to scrap (and the rules for ladies boxing SHOULD result in scraps!). This though…

More for her achievements outside the ring. She’s a true pioneer. I think women’s boxing is garbage but I can appreciate what she’s done. Single handedly made female boxing became legal in Ireland and for female boxing to be included at the Olympics. I’d argue no fighter on the planet has left a bigger legacy behind out of the ring.

Disagree. Taylor knew if she kept it simple she would outbox Serrano. If she went for a war then, whilst entertaining for the fans, she was playing into Serrano’s hands. Different ways to win a fight.

She's also almost 40 years old and has been in alot of tough fights. Its not like its the norm for Taylor to fight a very cautious fight she's been alot of FOTY candidates.

Yes I was disappointed in the fight but I'm not the one taking the punches Taylor did what she had to do and win without any controversy putting an end to the rivalry.

I think Taylor should retire now on top.

Fair response. She definitely was a pioneer for women’s boxing but at the same time idk if that’s a good thing. Rather have less or no women fights on cards. I know these women go to war sometimes and land an abundance of punches but they’re almost always weak ass slaps and arm punches and there’s rarely any knockouts. There isn’t one woman fighter where I’m like damn I gotta tune in. Baumgardner is exciting because of her power but I won’t go out my way watch her fight.
