I didn't watch it, it's just a horrible, dystopian state of affairs. And it baffles me that anyone would be sucked in by it. But they're not bothered are they? Laughing all the way to the bank. But then I never did like WWF wrestling either, I prefer my sport as nonsense-free as possible.

Name value, bruh. That's it. I've said before that Taylor/Serrano II should've happened in Croke Park like they've been talking about ever since the first bout happened. Maybe that'll happen in the third bout? Who knows?

He stayed in there because Paul stopped trying. If Jake gave, like, 10% more effort than he did, Mike would've been knocked the hell out.

All right, thanks for your detailed answer. Great to read someone taking care of himself despite becoming old.

Had he KO'd Tyson he would have been the most hated guy on earth. Even his fans would hate him now had he done it. And he knew it perfectly well.

Being the man who put a beating and KO'd a 60 year old oldman is not good for the business.

And tyson maybe is not the goat fighter, but it is very likely that he is the goat loved fighter. People ABSOLUTELY ADORE him. It is crazy, everybody loves him. White, black, chinese, women, gays, trans, catholics, muslims, budists..... he is loved by absolutely every freaking guy on earth.

    Finally watched it.

Good on Paul for not hurting Tyson when he CLEARLY could have. When Paul started landing and having success, he’d back off.

Can we stop thinking old men should box now?

Huge difference between 45 and 58. Plenty of 45 year old pro boxers would have destroyed Paul and never been in any danger from him.

People are so delusional. To think there are grown adults who have families and jobs, actually believed Mike was going to win this?

To make it worse, they couldn’t tell Jake was clearly holding back against Mike. Make no mistake about it, this was a 16 minute fight and Jake has fought 30 minutes against much less shot fighters. He had Mike hurt a few times and held back, clearly.

People who thought Mike would win and/or couldn’t tell Jake carried him, have little business talking boxing.

I agree. A 45 year old regular guy is almost useless though in combat without a weapon. Big time wake up call last night for the old guys here.

I m still surprised a bit at the outcome. Going in i thought paul would win. Did think that a guy that spent a career being one of the best trained fighters ever and being one of say the top 50 fighters ever had a decent shot even at 58 years old tho if he got himself in good shape.

Paul to his credit has turned himself into a well trained athlete....hes still a novice boxer tho.

I still say tysons pretty much injured and his legs are absolutely knackered played a much bigger role in the outcome than age.

I,ve seen good 50 year olds sparring good younger guys and beating them with experience etc albeit at a lower level.

Taylor has lost a handful of times in her career. Judges have saved her on multiple occasions.

I bought a Netflix subscription yesterday and canceled it today :)

You are absolutely right. The commentators were completely hopeless. It was so embarrassing that it can hardly be described in words. If you compare, DAZN's team is world class.

Why haven't they made a deal with either Paulie Malignaggi or Chris Algieri ? Then we could have had some proper analysis instead of Roy Jones Jr who just sat and laughed stupidly regardless of what the main commentator said !

It is fantastic that Netflix is ready to invest heavily in boxing, but there is room for improvement :)

By the way : 3 really good fights on the undercard so I feel I got value for money.

I didn't watch any build up or the fight. I doubt I'll even click on any of the highlights. Tyson's my dad's age.

We've got 2 OAPs tonight in the UFC as well.

I would say though, His Excellency could set up 3 rounder tournaments for these old legends and it'd get views. It'd be much better than them ruining their legacies getting beat by younger amateurs. 3 rounds is the max though, as it limits damage and is perfect for their shot stamina levels.
