Episode 1 is a very insightful study of former WBO heavyweight champion Michael Bentt. Only 24 minutes long but well worth a watch and shows another side of the game
Really good doc, I remember his fight with Hide pretty well. Great to see him doing so well now Listening to his background and his issues he feels he feels a lot like David Price- strong am career but mentally not ready for the pros
It was intriguing to see the self doubt and vulnerability engrained in such a talented individual. Great to see Bentt looking and speaking so well
There was a thread on the British about Netflix documentary 'Loosers' which profiled Michael Bentt. First round KO in his first fight but went on to win the WBO world title (knocking out Tommy Morrison in round 1)
Just this minute finished watching it myself. Totally agree. I’m glad that he found happiness in the end. Incredible what he achieved considering he hated it.
I just started watching Prison Break again after 12 years so struggling to fit it in at the moment. Really looking forward to it though.
Just finished it and have to say it was very good. Bentt is clearly a very intelligent man and delivered what he wanted to say very well. His description of Herbie Hides punching power was a good one as Herbie could bang alright. @DJN16 if you want to watch a good prison drama try Oz, its pretty brutal and graphic. One of the actors from Oz actually features in the Bentt documentary coincidentally.
I know amazing success under the circumstances. His Dad wont be winning any Dad of the year awards thats for sure.
Great watch. Can you imagine growing up with a father like that, and then still accomplishing all he did? I remember thinking about Bentt as an accidental beltholder, who didn't belong where he was. Didn't know that it was overly true in this way though. Respect for that man.
