There is no medical excuse. His testosterone levels were fine. He found a shady doctor to administer the testosterone, they're ten a penny everywhere. Administering testosterone on a bunk "free testosterone" hypothesis is not medical grounds.

If Peterson isn't punished and made an example of (i.e. stipped, banned and sued), then in my opinion there's no point in having anti-doping tests and making PED taking illegal, it's just a big waste of time and money. Anyone can dope all they like and if they get caught all they have to do is retrospectively claim they had a medical condition. They would be let off the hook - they'll only have to refer to this case as a precedent.

The NSAC wanted to overturn Mosley/De La Hoya II. However, they couldn't becasue too much time had elapsed between when the fight happened and when they found out Mosley had cheated, or something of that nature. Others have already pointed out that the first Khan/Peterson fight took place in D.C.

Yes their first fight was in DC rematch was set for Vegas testing was conducted through NSAC and VADA, admission to use as far back as October was made to Nevada and Nevada is advising or recommending to DC in other words they have a major influence based on their findings and will make recommendations that are in accordance with the ABC why is that so hard for some to understand?:huh

First, it is up to DC to overturn.
Second, the doctor's excuse is bogus, his level was not low.
Third, he was micro-dosing to beat the test. It worked in DC so he thought he could get away with it again. Asking for the test was just PR.
Fourth, past screw ups should does not mean that it is fair in this case.

    Did I miss anything?

He had a medically unneeded procedure and his level was kept under the 4/1 ratio that would normally trigger the second test and not brought up to 1/1, aka "normal". This procedure was not designed to bring up the "free" level and they admit it failed to do that. No surprise since it was not the proper medical procedure for that.

The excuse is bogus for the reason above. You have never heard of doctors being busted for basically being pushers? Happens all too frequently. They risk it for easy money. Low risk clients since they aren't really treating anything so they fly under the radar.

These are obviously my opinions from what I've read. What we do know is Lamont lied. Straight up. That is given. He tried to cover up further by claiming ignorance. Please don't tell me you really believe that? He had to hop a plane to Vegas, have his hip numbed, and have this **** injected through a small incision. And he forgot about that? REALLY?

Bottom line from all the reading I've done, he cheated and damned well knew it. The medical need was blown out of the water by people familiar with this stuff. If this doctor gets investigated don't be too shocked at his client list. Pederson probably got a referral from someone else using him. Why else go to Vegas instead of using home town doctors? Believe what you want, I just see the evidence the way I see it.

So, you should never correct a wrong because you did not do so in the past? You have to start somewhere might as well be this case.

If your using the Mosley arguent - well I think any lawyer can argue that a precedent has to be set then otherwise it promotes the message that its kool to bend the rules or its kool to raise your testosterone to over 3 and half times that of a normal person - as long as you don't go over 4:1 ratio, its kool - **** that! They need to throw the book at Peterson, and make it clear that anyone else caught of the same thing will be punished! That's why I love the British Olympic Association's stance on drug cheats - you get caught - your banned for life, no bull**** 2 year or 4 year bann, life! Its organisations like WADA and USADA who allow cheats like Gatlin to come back to sport after a ban - the ban should be for life!!

The moment I read the thread title, I knew it was about the mosley-Hoya and the Balco affair b4 I even opened the thread. Boxing has changed for the better I believe and if the guy was taking anabolic substances in November and the fight was in December, no matter what Dr. Joseph something says or any other. It was not fair and they should have Mosley's win overturned as well but since Mosley lost the title to Winky and that would affect a third party, then let this happen right here and right now while it's on time!
