Easy for boxrec warriors to pass judgement without watching a fight, let alone having an understanding of the circumstances. This fight happened when Tyson was 21, his dad had recently being imprisoned for 10 years and his new born baby that was born extremely premature was on a life support machine. Watch the fight, Tyson was not with it all and it took a knockdown to bring him round.

As for beating Tyson, I'm not so sure. All this dropped by a cruiser stuff is ridiculous though, I don't remember Fury fighting at Cruiserweight.

Still he got dropped hard by a guy that is known for having very little power, and was shook up multiple times in the fight.
Who knows what would have happened when the referee hadn't prematurely stopped it in Fury's favor? I believe he would have won legitimately eventually, but you'll never know for sure.

Point is, Fury can't take a punch very well. And that will probably be his undoing when he fights the (litterally) big guys in the division.

The point OP was making is regarding people picking Fury over Tyson. If Fury can get cold early by Cunningham and Pajkic, how would he fair against Tyson, who is arguably the most dangerous heavyweight in the first two rounds in history?

Joe Calzaghe went down multiple times by guys who didn't have power to burst a bubble.

Could Calzaghe not take a punch very well either? When did you ever see him KO'd?

Fury fan remind me of Bute fans. They keep denying the obvious even though the evidence proving otherwise is there. Tyson will soon be fighting Wladimir Klitschko and truth will reveal itself.

Kevin McBride knocked Tyson spark out?? Really...have you ever watched that fight? Mike QUIT. The knockdown at the end of the 6th wasn't even a knockdown...McBride leaned on him and he went n sat down against the ropes. He just had lost heart and confessed he didn't have the fighting spirit/mentality in him anymore hence he retired after that fight. Watch it n see...come back n show me where in this fight Tyson was KOd ??

Oh, what's that supposed to mean?!
I actually expected you to try to push your purple eyed superiorty agenda again like in an other Fury thread. Because that was what you actually meant there right?! Well, I know you did anyway, and that's what really matters. :bart

More like they were afraid of a riot breaking out, one of the gypsies tried to climb into the ring and started fighting with security before one of Tysons cousins (the big guy you always see with him) pulled him back and told him to wise up

mike tyson was 40 years old at this point when he lost to mcbride a, mike at this age is a confessed alcoholic who dabbled in heroin and cocaine at this point.
And he wasnt knocked spark out he gave up.

Fury was in his early 20's when this occured.
