Exactly. Neven put Fury down in round two and then near the end of the round nailed him again with another overhand right that had Fury holding on. Fury was allowed to finish the round and recover, but Pajkic wasn't given the same chance when he got rattled (mostly by rabbit punches). Pajkic was already recovering and exchanging with Fury when the fight was waved off. He deserved the chance to get to round 4 and see what happens then. The ref Phil Edwards did Fury no favors, just made him look protected. Fury knows this.

Also: this kind of war is par for the course for Pajkic. Anyone who knows anything about him knows he wasn't nearly ready to stop when this fight was called. Pajkic may not be pretty to watch, but he is a warrior, man. He is blood and guts all the way.

    :deal

Worth noting: Same situation to a lesser extent with Firtha.

Fury has twice in a row now benefited from some very generously selective officiating, and has escaped his third brush with possible defeat (after benefiting from some very generous scoring the first time against McDermott).

14-3 (10) with two KO losses ain't quite as pretty or marketable a record as 17-0 (12)...a fact not lost on the British boxing powers-that-be...

He's safe until he ventures out into the world. It will be interesting to see what becomes of him in NYC with a world-rated heavyweight in front of him.

Yes, Firtha also has a case for a rematch -- Pajkic's was just more outrageous, as even Firtha's camp apparently stated to Neven. Fury should do the right thing and at least rematch one of them.

To his credit, he DID rematch McDermott - but then he also wasn't almost KTFO by McDermott (ate some good overhand rights, but was never in anywhere near as much trouble as Firtha and especially Pajkic would later have him.).

Yep. Fury has a problem with the overhand right -- he gets hit by it over and over again.

In the interview, Pajkic says Fury HAS promised him a rematch -- it's Hennessey who doesn't want to do it.

    Love this quote from Pajkic:

NEVEN PAJKIC: Oh, they shitted their pants when I took off my clothes at the weigh-in. And I’m looking at Fury and I can tell: I’m from the streets, so I know. I know. He is sweating bullets, man. He is looking at me and he is sweating bullets. We’re looking at each other in the eyes, and you can tell. I’m ready to die, man. Whenever I step into the ring, I’m ready to die – I would never quit, you know? I know if I just try to survive, I could get on the bicycle, throw a few punches and run around and survive. **** that, man.

Agreed, this fight seems to warrant a rematch and if Fury does fight in NYC this spring Pajkic would be a very ideal opponent. He's the right level of fighter for something like ShoBox or ESPN, it has a good story line, and its a neutral country and with the heat Fury has been getting over bad officiating than NYC would be a good place for a rematch. I couldn't blame Fury for taking a shot at Povetkin if offered but it seems like a rematch with Pajkic should be the fight he's looking at for right now.

Yeah, if promoted right, Pajkic vs Fury would be good in NYC. Both of these guys give great interviews, so it would be dead easy to create some buzz for the fight.
