Never been Down vs Never been Stopped

well look at the first 3 fighters.. and then look at the 2nd 3.. and you have your answer

 

depends on the type of stoppage. a stoppage on cuts isn't too bad

 

I think having been down yet never stopped is more impressive.

It displays iron will and determination, and the positive mindset not to let the knockdown be the end.

Never stopped... It's boxing, you get hit, a great shot will drop you... Think getting up from it speaks more about you as a boxer.

 

Even more impressive is to have 100 or more fights and never being stopped....like Carlos Monzon and Kid Gavilan, just to name a couple. Can you think of any more names than these?

 

I know a few guys that have never been either.

I was thinking the same thing. He has been hit 10 times harder than that with little reaction. He was pissed that they called it a knockdown. Looked like a matter of being off balance to me. Boy did he make that guy pay for that.

 

vitali never being knocked down, despite fighting the most powerful boxers, in the most powerful division, is more impressive than anything.

 

I go with never been stopped.

Never being down is more luck than anything, being born with a cast iron jaw.
Never being stopped is a heart thing. Which i find more impressive
