    :thumbsup

I assume it's correct, reportedly 100-0 as an amateur, wasn't he?

February 16, 1938 Sugar Ray Robinson lost to Pasquale Pesca, at the St. Nicholas Arena, in a Sub-Novice Golden Glove bout.

(Yori Boy) Luis Ramon Campas was 56-0 when he fought Felix Trinidad (LKOby4). As an amateur he went 45-2... close but not the right answer.

It's Kid Chocolate but some feel his amateur record was B.S. Boxrec has him going 55-0-1 thru his first 56 pro fights though.

Ezzard Charles went 42-0 as an amateur and won his first 20 pro fights btw. He is the only HW champ who went undefeated as an amateur... he also has more pro wins than any other HW champ (96).

I had no idea he'd lost in the amateurs. Is it a commonly known thing and how far into his amateur career was it? I'd only ever read that his name was changed to Ray Robinson in his first amateur bout when he took place of another fighter that never showed up. Gainford used a old card of a fighter he trained called Ray Robinson.

    How true is that?

And supposedly he's down as Walker Smith in a February 4th print of the results.

Sugar Ray went 85-1 (69) as an amateur.
