I am rooting for RJJ to send Tito to retirement once and for all.

I have a great feeling that RJJ is going to school him and bust him up badly.

    Go RJJ :happy :happy :happy

I was usually indifferent about RJJ, and never rooted for him until the Tarver rematch. I was annoyed by Tarver's crying and whining after he deservedly lost the first fight by being too inactive and leary of Roys bodywork. So of course, Roy got laid out. I also rooted for Roy in his next 2 fights, which he lost.

I'm rooting for Tito, but I think he is a huge longshot. I'll be utterly shocked if Trinidad wins.

I don't think RJJ should have many problems schooling the undersized inactive Trinidad.

However, I will be rooting for Tito to somehow pull the upset.

Do you think that, even after Jones presumably whoops Tito, it will have any meaning in the grand scheme?

Is Adamek-Cunningham definitely a part of the undercard?

I remember seeing the thread, and thought someone mentioned this was a Don King ploy that won't really materialize.

Either way, I hope the fight does happen, and if so, you're right--it should be the card's main event.

And how did this theory work out for you in the Griffin and Hopkins fights? Just wondering:deal

Kinda easy to wait till Jones was past it and after the theory has been tested earlier on (and failed) to say it's true.

And I doubt that Trinidad hits harder than Tarver at LHW.

Tito is going to wake everyone up in this fight. Roy Jones lays up on the ropes waaaaaay too much nowadays. Remember the Johnson fight, his lazy ass Rope-a-dope **** he was pulling? I remember thinking, alright any second now he's gonna end this fight and lay Johnson the **** out.....but he never did! Why? He doesn't have it anymore, he couldn't. He wasn't laying there because that was the right gameplan for Johnson, he was laying there because he can't box a full 12 anymore.....he can't even go a full ****ing round against Prince Aboboo without relying on the ropes to take the stress off his old-man legs. Look I'm a huuuuge fan of Jones and think he is one of the best P4P fighters ever, but he is done like Sunday Dinner!

Tito is going to put him against the ropes and punish him all night.

Tito will get schooled once again by another old man, he already got schooled by old Hopkins and old Wright. Cotto will beat Shane and will become the new PR superman.

Cotto MAY beat Shane, but I'd not be counting the chicks too quickly if I were you.

Blah blah.....so you're theory was crap and you needed Jones to get old for it to work is what you're saying:thumbsup

Yes, I saw Trinidad's great punching power on display against Wright. Devastating I might add.

Wright stood up to Taylors shots pretty damn good. Taylor sent Pavlik for a stroll down ***** street and would have finished him if he had any stamina at all. :deal
So now the fact that Wright also stood up to Titos power doesn't really discredit Tito.

Yes....Pavlik also stuck his chin out there and got hit with a shot he didn't see coming. Wright also once got KD 5 times in a fight.

Taylor is not a devastating puncher and it's not a good idea to make him out to be. I can do the same thing....Taylor couldn't stop Spinks, but Judah could. Taylor has no track record of being a great puncher and you know it. Trinidad does....at lower weights. So does Jones.

None of that matters much now does it. Tarver, at the time he fought Jones, was coming in at 185+ on fight night. He has always had a great left hook. He hit harder than the Trinidad at MW. Period.

I love it how you guys analyze one side of the fight. Trinidad has signifigant weaknesses.....always has. Funny how they aren't mentioned.

jones draining himself down to 170 is really going to kill him in this fight...his legs have not been there in his recent fights and draining to 170 is going to be the icing on the cake ....

roy will have absolutely nothing past the 2nd round ....

tito is going to tea off him .... roy has no D !!! He is going to either stand in the middle of ring with his hands down and get tagged or he's going to run to the ropes and get pounded

had this fight been signed for 175 lbs then Roy could win but at 170 he is toast...he was struggling to make 175 ! 170 fughedaboutit !

    TITO by KO !
