    That's my man Eddie. He was a helluva body puncher. Low blow aside (it comes with the territory if you're a body puncher), did you see those uppercut digs to the body? And the way he mixed them up with his other punches? He was a master craftsman.

    Larry Buck sparred hundreds of rounds with Cotton. He said those body shots were the worst. He knew one was coming when he heard Eddie's foot squeak as he shifted his weight and dug his foot into the canvas for leverage. Larry knew it was coming, but he couldn't stop it.

    If you havent watched this clip yet you need to. Eddie was a journeyman when there was no shame attached to that label. Back when journeyman meant you knew how to fight and had learned your craft inside and out that described Eddie Cotton to a “T”. Hes a fun fighter to watch and after youve seen him do his thing here you should look up his heart breaking loss to Jose Torres. Cotton is from a lost era when you didnt have to be a champion or an all time great to know how to fight and give the best in the world a run for their money.
