Williams gave Sonny Liston a tough time before getting knocked out. Baer gave Joe Louis a tough time before also getting knocked out. Now, the way I see it, I think Joe Louis was a better fighter than Sonny Liston.
corect. :good But is does mean Baer did better against better fighters, his record also bares this out. There are a few names buddy beat who were rated. Two punchers, both are exciting because anything can happen, neither are reliable at elite level and nobody can prove one way or another another who could win. so maybe Williams can win. I am also saying Baer can win too.

So do I, though I admit that I haven't seen enough of Baer to make any firm prediction. Cleveland on paper has all the advantages, but this might turn out to be a case of the slower more awkward guy with the better big fight mentality turning the trick against the more athletic but mentally shaky one. Or it might turn out exactly as it does on paper, quick overwhelming KO for Big Cat.
