its amazing. such a huge conversation...a lot of it childish...about whether a broken jaw is grounds for quitting. folks, the jaw will heal...this kid has deeper problems than broken bones. he's broken mentally.

Ortiz is truly the first ALL-GLASS fighter: Glass chin, glass heart, glass brain, glass head. :yep

He has SO many fatal flaws, what he needs isn't to see a shrink, he needs to hang 'em up.

well he's a danger to himself and to other fighters in his current state.

if he jumps right back into a rematch w/o help lopez will beat him worse. lopez saw him wilt mentally. that will put lopez at risk considering vic has shown he deals with adversity with impulsive outbursts that he immediately regrets.

Actually, I think this is pretty simple. Flatlander has laid it out. This is nothing new. Ortiz doesn't like to get hit. He needs to find another profession. He is college educated isn't he? He probably has made enough that if he is wise with his money he can live comfortably without going back in the ring. Either that or set him up with a series of cans for lunch money.

no he doesnt like getting hit. i agree he should probably take what he's made and move on.

and its not even the outbursts where he fouls his opponents. its the whipped puppy dog look on his face as he insists on having some drawn out reconciliation with his opponent. two fights in a row where he fouls and then drops his hands as he looks for a hug/kiss and forgiveness. He's lucky Reiss reminded him to get his hands up. I'm sure Lopez would have tagged him.
