Lacy fought like absolute ****. Slow, couldn't throw combinations, couldn't adapt, and was getting outboxed at times by a fairly average fighter.

yeah Lacy looked very average - wasnt throwing any where near enough punches. Manfredo showed good heart but really Lacy should have been able to ko him

Jeff Lacy & Daniel Ponce De Leon both really disappointed me.
Ponce De Leon gets beatan again if he fights Caballero, & he has no hope with Vazquez & Marquez.
Lacy i think may win a world title again, only if he is carefully matched.
After todays display i think someone like a Librado Andrade or Sakio Bika could very well beat him.

Lacy just seemed soooo darn one dimensional, his swings wre going at 1km/h like slow motion and was just hitting a lot of air. If he fought calzaghe again theres a good chance he'd get KO'd.

My god, he KO'd vanderpool and he became the hero of America. Then got taught a lesson in boxing, which happens to a lot of boxers, and he just crawled in his box and sulked.

So having a major shoulder injury that requires surgery and rehabilitation now constitutes "crawling into his box to sulk".... He looked flat and awful, but he has done everything in his power to be active. I hope like Mosley, he can use this as a stepping stone to good form. A large part of me doubts it, but we shall see.

Have you read ANY of the articles about Lacy at all??

He went on a downward spiral emotionally after the fight. It hurt his pride and he couldn't handle it. Yes he's recovered from it, but he did crawl into his box, im sorry but thats the way it was.

Yes, i read about how he did major damage to his shoulder when fighting after the Calzaghe loss 8 months later. Really, the time he took off coming off a major defeat was nothing near substantial in modern boxing. Certainly not enough to say he "crawled into his box". If you had said he was damaged psychologically from the JC loss I would have agreed, but he has still attempted to keep active, apart from being stopped by injury.
