NEW Aussie Boxing Tipping Comp

I think there was talk of it, not sure if it was voted in or not.
I say we leave it at 12, Ashley has geared himself for a 12 round fight:good

 

The Fact that i have made only 3 or 4 actually educated tips in this comp speaks volumes for the rest of you guys. I have guessed and copied others throughout the whole 12 weeks :rofl

 

You must be joking mate I wanted it to end about 4 rounds ago....never thought I would be in the lead now.

As for how many rounds........I will go with whatever Kegsey/Thirdgeary think.

 

Its because the comp is very basic at the moment. We really need to add a margin into the mix, to get better analysis from people. It also gives more room for movement in the comp. There have been a lot of weeks where most peoples picks have been practically identical.

And a similar concept with the stoppage. I think we should work off the same formula that Huki and Decebal use for their comp in the general. Its still easy enough to Tally up, but just gives another aspect to the comp.

Even depending on the type of fight eg 8,10, 12 rounds.

We can use a system whether it be a UD,SD,MD or a draw.

Then for a stoppage, it be between 1-4,4-8,8-12.

Something basic for everyone.

Just a thought, but how about we do this for picking the KO for the next comp:

8 points for picking correct round
6 points for being 1 round off either side
4 points just for picking the KO

so for example

Casamayor KO 10 - would score you 8 points
Casamayor KO 9 or 11 - would get you 6 points
Everything else 4 points as normal.

Decision wins should just stay the same imo.
Too much confusion.

 

Thats not fair because it puts too much emphasis on the stoppage. There is already a formula that has been worked out, i will put up the way it works in a sec.... Its basically the fairest way to run things, whilst still making it easy to tally up.
