Had Ayala held on for 30 more secs i would have pipped you at the post Ashley! Talk about a close finish, congrats!
Great fight....Ayala got smashed but to his credit hung around. The live cast crashed on me in the last round and I thought I had lost. Great comp...down to the last round of the comp....last fight of the round......last round of the fight....last 30 seconds. It dont come any closer than that:good
Gonzo is a dicksucker, i give him no credit for beating me... I fell victim to corrupt judging. This is an outrage. Congratulations Ashley. :happy:happy

In order to give late starters a chance to compete fairly, they will start in the middle of the pack, at the median position, out of those who have participated every week. This content is protected If for some reason you miss a week and you are in the top 25 in the league, you will be allocated the median score for that week. Everyone has 3 lives (will be "saved" up to three times). This, to ensure top pickers are not demotivated by their failure to pick one week. This content is protected A clean sweep system will be applied for weeks with 5 fights or more. The clean sweep bonus will be 20 points. This is the format used for the competition in the general forum. We analysed all the best possible ways of scoring things, and this proved to be the easiest to tally, yet still gave as much possible room for movement on the table. It is fair for both knockout finishes and decision bouts, and places no emphasis either way.
I definitely think we should do this, it just adds another dimension to the comp. As it is, there is often very little movement. It makes people analyse the fight to a better level as well. Please put down your thoughts. We tried to organise this last comp, but to many people couldn't be bothered posting a short reply... Cheers. Edit, Blue Ribban is basically our joker event. Just a different term, thats all.
Sounds alright MSTR. Decisions will still be a pain for the scorer though. Scorecards arnt always made public, could be a hassle trying to track down scorecards for the 'lesser known' type fights. Other than that sounds like fun. We going to kick off next week with Sturm/Pitman or shall we give it a rest for a week or two? Personally i think we should try to drum up some more participants before we start, it would be nice to get around 20-25 guys this time.
Yeah good scoring system. Yeah some might be hard to get the results, but probably not many of the fights that we will do. Some of the fights are the ref's decision still. Do you think we should start a new thread or just pin the rules at the top?
The scores are usually on boxrec... We might just have to cut fights that are really unheard of. I reckon we would be hard pressed to find one where the scores weren't known but. If we couldn't find it, i'm sure you could google it. Its unfair otherwise as it gives people choosing KO to much of an advantage.
Who wants to do the scoring?? I am happy to either (a) Let Thirdgreary do it (b) Contribute/Alternate in tallying the results or (c) Do them myself BTW, thats in order of preference as well:yep
