NEW Aussie Boxing Tipping Comp

From what I have seen he isn't that great. Can be pretty sloppy at times. I think Bautista (spelling) can be a little bit chinny, but he is a good solid prospect, and fought a tough fight on the OScar v Floyd under card.

If Leon is the favourite then Bautista is a very live under dog IMO.

 

This is the one fight of this week where Ive actually seen a few bits of both guys. I really think that Boom Boom will take him out pretty easily. Mr Ponce is there to be hit, although he can definitely crack a fair bit. Should definitely be a good one to watch though.

The other fights were pretty much pure guesswork on my part as Id either seen one or neither of the guys fight at all.

 

In the middle of Darwin for work with a client internet connection but damned if i was gonna miss out on picking this week!

Winky Wright so high in the rankings....he has been a bit inactive with only a few fights over the last few years. We all know he has several great wins but inactivity should push him down the list I would think.

Also after i checked my picks i thought i picked Rey Bautista, then i saw Ponce's name, i was like no, wrong choice.
So go Ponce, dont get ud'd by boom boom

Also a massive shock, i seriously did not expect this, Gerry pensaola ko's Jhonny Gonzalez via body shot in 7th round.
Also Z gorres wins by tko.

 

Unbelievable.... I suspected Bautista might be a bit chinny after he got wobbled on the De la hoya undercard also, but thought maybe it was just a good shot.

Looks like he is actually very chinny. Credit to Ponce De Leon though, the man must be able to pack a punch. Suprised by Pensaola also. Another crappy round for me.

Yeh i read before the fight, they were saying that he was abit hard-headed, so he might try and trade with ponce, but gerry pensaola told him to be careful and dont get to hard headed in there.
I didnt think a 1st rd ko, though

 

i had a shocker this week but even at the gym i was telling every ponce de leon will take him out early, having never seen him fight it was a big assumption but reading some articles said he had power and had high workrate, and having watched a couple of bautistas fights i knew exactly why he would loose hes got no defence and a suspect chin, so it was always going to be difficult....
